We're Moving

Well, we will be moving to Michigan very, very soon. I got the official word today that I am once again gainfully employed. I will be working for ImageMasters in Ann Arbor. I am not sure where we will be living - trying to scramble on that point!

I believe once everything settles down this will be a great change for the family. The kids, of course, are very upset, but they will adjust and learn to love it.

Life

As so often happens in this life, we have hit a fork in the road. It looks as if we are going to be moving, most like up to Michigan. This has been a very hard and long thought out decision. There just does not seem to be a future where we are (at least not a good one!). A fresh start seems to be the best thing to do. We are unsure of when the move will be, but will keep everyone notified.

The kids are doing great. We got rid of cable about a month ago and the kids are still trying to deal with not having the TV to entertain them, but they are getting better about that now. Personally, I am enjoying not having it on constantly. Ted got an areial for one of the TV's and is getting about six channels (talk about remembering your childhood) and so we get a few shows worth watching, but I just cannot believe the money that I wasted on all those cable channels and how easy it is to be without them.

My football season is over now. We made some improvements as a team and backslide on others. I will stay with this team if we go to MI - the drive was something else this year and I will not put out that much money for gas again.

I will be posting some new pictures this week. Got the info on doing the slideshow and will take care of that later on! Gotta go and do my job search now - I will be so happy when this part is over.

Well, we lost this last game - that sucks. I did get some terrific brusies though!!!! We have another chance next month to beat this team and we can do it.

Ted is on his last week of school and will be taking his CDL test this Saturday (4/28). After he passes he'll be calling up his new employer and scheduling his orientation and training.

The kids all got roller blades this week. A neighbor had a whole bag full of them and gave them out to the kids around here. The boys have already figured out how to skate!!! Zach followed Ted around with his lawnmower while Ted did the yard - so cute!

We Won!

It was a miserable day to be outside, but we managed to win the game! The temps were in the mid to low 20's and the snow just would not let up! The game actually went into overtime, of course - we only go into overtime in bad weather. But we got the first victory this season!!!!! We play again on the 21st - this will be a real test of how our team has improved this year.

April 2007

Well, we had Kyle's birthday party today. The usual showed up and it turned out great. Everyone had a great time. Ted will be done with school in just four weeks - and hopefully everything comes out OK with that. My season opener is tomorrow - man it is going to suck playing in such cold weather and with snow! Hope they have the hot water going in the showers afterwards. They have me at linebacker and runningback this season, should prove interesting on both sides.

Christmas is only a couple of days away now and the kids are very excited. Luckily we started buying gifts earlier this year or we would not have been able to do much for the kids with Ted's job downsizing like it did. They all still believe in Santa and his magic and I would hate to have it end for a reason like that! We are having his side of the family over on Christmas day - this finally seems to be the year that the grandparents give up all the holidays and pass it on to the next generation. The kids are excited about this too - I like hosting parties and entertaining people too.

Everyone made cookies for their teachers and are helping wrap up gifts. Ted is studying for is CDL temp license and we are hoping that the dislocated worker funding comes through. The school he is going to attend is a big help getting through the process. He needed three endorsements and they sent out the applications and he got a phone call the next morning! Truckers must really be needed!!!! I have also been sending out resumes but after taking time off to raise the kids, people are just not jumping up and down to get you in the door.

A dear set of friends of mine are getting married in Jamaica next week (28th) and I couldn't be happier for them - what a great place to get hitched (especially this time of year). As the holiday cards come in, it seems everyone else is on a good path too which makes me feel so proud of everyones success and happiness.

Updates

Ted is still in the job hunt. We are hoping that the new year brings some new opportunities with it. He is considering a career change, but so far there has just been one obstacle after another on that front.

The kids are getting very excited about the holiday break. They have been working hard at school this year and could use a few "mindless" days.

Zach is just as crazy as every. He is trying to talk. He definitely understands a lot of what is said to him. He is a wonderful little helper around the house, which is a good thing since he follows me around all the time!!!

Danee' is getting ready for her season to start. Hitting the gym at least 4-5 days a week. Now if the diet would only go as well!!

Happy Holidays

We want to wish everyone a happy holiday season.

We will be posting pictures after the new year - I have a feeling Santa is bringing a digital camera this year!!!!
